Safety First

Given our continuous operation in the complex and safety critical environment of airports over the past seven years, senior management has always held safety as our supreme core value.

In line with this emphasis, our Health & Safety management systems are accredited to the International Standard OHSAS 18001. By continually developing the very highest standards we maintain an enviable safety record underpinned by a safety culture that permeates all that we do.

As an employer, we are committed to providing and maintaining a healthy and safe working environment for all of our staff, and any other people who may be affected by our activities. To achieve this aim, we have set the following key objectives:

  • As an absolute minimum, to comply with requirements of relevant legislation
  • Persuading people to take personal responsibility for their own safety and that of others
  • Create a vision and expectation for future safety performance
  • Engaging everyone in making safety a focus of common interest
  • Enabling senior managers to recognise their ability to lead a change in safety performance
  • To identify hazards (the potential for harm), assess risks (the likelihood of that harm being realised) and manage those risks
  • To ensure that staff and others are adequately informed of the identified risks and where appropriate receive instruction, training and supervision
  • To consult with staff on Health & Safety matters
  • To make arrangements for coordination and cooperation with other employers where staff share premises, facilities or activities with persons working in other organisations
  • To monitor and review the effectiveness of arrangements and where appropriate implement improvements
  • To ensure that the demands of activities do not exceed the capabilities of staff to carry out the work without risk to themselves or others
