Logistics Operative - Total Airside Project Support Team

Logistics operatives work as part of our highly prized Total Airside Project Support Operations Team, and provide a range of hands on logistics and site support services to our customers on prestigious logistics and construction projects. Logistics operatives typically undertake a variety of site support and facilitation tasks. Key Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Provide exceptional site support.  Areas of activity include:

  • Focus on Health & Safety
  • Taking delivery of plant and materials at the warehouse
  • Driving airside or plant and machinery (training given)
  • Being part of the team making deliveries for businesses operating airside
  • Escorting customer’s tradespersons on projects
  • Erecting and striking hoardings
  • Assisting other Trade persons on the same projects
  • Proactively helping to maintain a clean and tidy site
  • Using a variety of hand and power tools to undertake general works
  • Removing debris from site
  • Other duties as directed by relevant Logistics Project Manager or Supervisor

Other duties as directed by relevant Service Team Leader

  • Communicating directly with the customers and representing Amalga in a professional manner
  • Comply with all health and safety policies, procedures and practices
  • To work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Participate in staff meetings and briefings
  • Other tasks as required

Specific Requirements

Qualifications, Experience, Skills, knowledge, Behaviours

 

  • Applicants must hold a CSCS card
  • Experience of working in logistics, or general site support work
  • Experience of working in restricted areas (desirable)
  • Experience of working at airports (desirable)
  • Excellent awareness of Health & Safety issues
  • Solutions focused

  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Capacity to work on several small logistics projects within a shift
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual or within a team

Referencing

  • Valid passport or photo driving license with counterpart as proof of identification
  • Verifiable five year work history to include employment, unemployment, self employment, and scholastic periods
